Transitional Gospel is the work of Dr. Gregory Hall, who is first and foremost a husband (to my first wife… and high-school sweetheart) and father (to two boys in college). I’m the Pastor of Discipleship at Salem First Church of the Nazarene in Salem, OR and an adjunct Bible professor at George Fox University in Newberg, OR.

I’ve received a Bachelors of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA), Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Faith Seminary (Tacoma, WA), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Biblical Preaching and Teaching from Knox Theological Seminary (Ft. Lauderdale, FL).

I’ve been a college athlete, public school teacher, real estate broker, board president, small business entrepreneur, and now a licensed minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I’ve also had the privilege of taking several tour groups to Israel & Jordan. For those who have been, you understand how a trip like that radically changes the way people read and understand Scripture. Those trips, and the training I’ve had in the Greek and Hebrew languages, have really opened my eyes to the theological “man behind the curtain”.

I teach whenever I can and I write when I find time. I’m excited to share somewhat unique thoughts about the liminal ministry of the incarnate Christ.

  1. I commend you and will pray for you as you have one of the most important position in a church. It requires a special gift to deal successfully with people of that age. You have a special responsibility and I will pray you receive the resources you need to accomplish Gods call on your life.
